Partner Relationship & Portfolio Manager
BACK TO LIST OFPOSTINGS
We are developing deeper connections between communities and their food systems. It’s our conviction that food systems are supported by a broader ecosystem of businesses, organizations, and institutions – going beyond farms and food businesses to include businesses driving meaningful impact on sustainability, equity, and wellness. We create impact by accepting deposits from individuals and businesses who want to drive positive and lasting change with their dollars...and then lending those funds to impact-oriented organizations. The word “mutual” in our name means cooperative; we are governed by our depositors, funded by those with a bias towards the long-term, and engineered to endure the test of time. Building bridges is core to who we are, with the ultimate aim of creating a more vibrant, sustainable and inclusive local food system.
As the Partner Relationship and Portfolio Manager you’ll be a key member of our mission-driven Commercial Lending team, supporting the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) in both strategic and day-to-day portfolio execution. This role is ideal for someone who thrives behind the scenes and at the front of the conversation — someone who knows how to keep documentation, deadlines, and risk monitoring tightly organized, but also enjoys building relationships with business owners and community partners. You’re equal parts detail-keeper and relationship-builder: as comfortable reviewing financial statements as you are hopping on a call to walk a borrower through next steps or coordinating with an attorney to finalize closing details.
You’re a proactive communicator who helps busy people stay aligned and focused. You value accuracy, clarity, and follow-through — and you believe a great banking experience starts with making people feel seen, heard, and supported.
In this role, you’ll serve as the right hand of the Chief Commercial Officer, helping to manage and grow a dynamic portfolio of mission-aligned commercial and small business relationships. You’ll play a key role in maintaining the health of the portfolio—tracking performance, surfacing risks, and ensuring accountability through thoughtful analysis and partner engagement.
You’ll also help drive the execution of new and existing deals, supporting everything from structuring to closing and ongoing servicing. Your steady hand and proactive communication will ensure that our partners, internal team, and external collaborators stay aligned and supported throughout the lending lifecycle.
This role is a strong fit for someone who wants to contribute meaningfully to a lean, growing commercial lending platform — someone who blends operational precision with genuine relationship care, and who’s energized by working at the intersection of purpose, people, and financial stewardship.
